AM Creative Marketing is a New England construction marketing agency founded by Jon Almas in 2016 and based in Amesbury, Massachusetts. It provides construction marketing services to design-build firms, general contractors, custom home builders and remodelers across New England, and works with construction companies anywhere in the US. The program covers website design, local SEO and Google Business Profile management, AI search optimization, Google Ads, social media and AM Connect, the agency's CRM for lead follow-up, run as one system instead of five vendors. Plans are month to month, and clients own everything that gets built. One custom home builder in Plaistow, New Hampshire went from 40 monthly Google clicks to 206 over 18 months.

How does construction marketing actually bring in jobs?
Three moving parts have to work together: getting found, capturing the lead, and choosing where to spend. Here is how each one works for a contractor.
Where do your jobs come from?
Most homeowners start on Google, scan the map pack, and read a few reviews before they call. So we build your Google Business Profile and local SEO to land you in the three-pack, where most of the calls go. The construction SEO page has the full process.
What happens when a lead comes in?
Speed wins the job, since that homeowner is messaging two or three other contractors too. AM Connect, our CRM, texts back in seconds, books the appointment, and keeps following up so a hot lead does not go cold while you are up on a ladder.
Ads now or SEO later?
Both, in order. Google ads put you in front of ready-to-call homeowners this week; local SEO compounds over a few months into leads you do not pay per click for. We run ads to cover the gap, then shift spend based on the numbers. See the results.
What does conversion optimization for contractors actually change?
It gets more of the homeowners who already find you to call or ask for a quote. Visitors you already have are the cheapest leads available, so we fix the page before we buy more clicks.
Can a homeowner reach you with one thumb?
On a phone screen, the call button and the quote button sit at the top of every page. The quote form asks only for what you need to call back: name, phone, town, project type and rough timing. Each extra field is one more reason to close the tab.
Do your projects look like their project?
We sort the portfolio the way buyers search, by project type and by town, so someone planning an addition sees additions and not decks. Town-level project pages also give Google and AI assistants a real local example to point to.
Does the page answer the price question?
Homeowners want a number before they pick up the phone. If you are comfortable publishing a starting range, it goes on the page with the three or four things that move it. If you are not, the page says so and lists those drivers, which still beats silence.
What happens right after a lead comes in?
AM Connect sends text and email follow-up to every new lead and keeps the conversation going until it books or goes quiet. A homeowner who filled out three contractor forms usually hires the one who answered.
Do you know which page produced the call?
Every inquiry lands in AM Connect with its source attached: Google, AI search, social, a referral or the phone. Those sources decide which pages we improve next, instead of guesses about what might be working.
The build side is on our website design for contractors page, and the follow-up side is on lead generation for contractors.
Why doesn't general marketing advice work for contractors?
Five things about construction change the plan. We learned most of them the expensive way.
A $400 drain call and a $300,000 addition are not the same lead
Ticket size changes everything downstream. What a homeowner needs before spending $300,000 is a portfolio that looks like their project, a clear process, and a name they have already heard somewhere. Follow-up timing changes too. A drain call needs a text back in two minutes. An addition gets decided over six weeks by two people who are still arguing about the budget. Contractors who define a good lead the same way for both end up paying for volume they cannot use. The fast end of that range is its own program: home services marketing covers plumbing, electrical, cleaning, landscaping and pest control.
The curve runs 18 months, not 90 days
That builder's first months went into customer research, the website rebuild and the Google Business Profile. Almost none of that produces anything you can screenshot. Monthly impressions crossed 8,000 around month twelve and reached 29,941 by month eighteen. Anyone promising page one in 30 days is either buying ads or selling you a report.
Average position can get worse while clicks double
It happened to the same builder between March and July 2026. Average position slipped from 17.16 to 19.70 while clicks went from 94 to 206. The site had started ranking for a much wider set of searches, including plenty near the bottom of page two. A report that only tracks average position would have called that a bad quarter. We count it as the win and watch position at the page level instead.
For a contractor, the Google Business Profile often beats the website
General marketing advice starts with the site. For local trades, the map pack is usually where the phone actually rings from. Categories, defined service areas, photos of real jobs and reviews that name the work do more for call volume than another page of copy. The site still has to close the visit, which is why we build both and do not treat either as optional.
Buyers judge on portfolio and permits before they judge on price
A homeowner comparing three builders is looking for work that resembles their project and a contractor who sounds like they have pulled a permit in that town. That is why jobsite video and town-level detail move quote requests, and why a generic services page sits there. Our construction SEO page covers how we build that out, town by town.

You have options. Here is how we compare to the ones most contractors have already tried.
| The Alternative | What Usually Happens | With AM Creative |
|---|---|---|
| Big Marketing Agencies | Built for national brands with big budgets. Contractors get templated strategies and a junior account manager. | A small team that specializes in contractors. You work directly with the people doing the work. |
| Cheap Freelancers | No strategy, just tasks. Inconsistent quality, and you end up managing them and chasing deliverables. | One integrated system and one team that owns execution, so you can focus on running jobs. |
| Doing It Yourself | Late nights, inconsistent posting, and the needle never really moves. | Marketing runs in the background while you run jobs. You just see the results and take the calls. |
| Lead Gen Services | Shared leads sold to five other contractors. Stop paying and you have nothing. | You own everything we build: website, rankings, reputation. Assets that compound over time. |
How do you choose the best marketing agency for a construction company?
Pick the agency that can show results for a builder like you, with dates and sources you can check yourself. Five questions sort that out quickly:
- Can you show results for a contractor like me, with the dates and the source?
- If I leave, do I keep the website, the ad accounts and the Google Business Profile?
- Do you report inquiries by source, or only traffic and rankings?
- Who actually does the work on my account?
- What will you refuse to put in a report?
Our answers, in order: the builder results further down this page, yes, by source in AM Connect, Jon and a small team, and CRM pipeline values dressed up as revenue.

| Design-build remodeler, Amesbury, MA | 16 tracked inquiries, the most since May | Aug 2026 | AM Connect CRM |
Inquiry counts are logged inquiries, not signed jobs. We don't report CRM pipeline values as revenue; the only revenue figures on this page are what the client told us they signed. Results depend on the market, the services and where each business started.

What do contractors say about working with AM Creative?
Three of the reviews behind our 5.0 Google rating across 37 reviews.
AM Creative Marketing has done a phenomenal job on my website and SEO work. They are extremely easy to work with and have been attentive and professional. I previously was working with a larger company who promised the world with no results. Jon and AM Creative Marketing have done the exact opposite. My website and leads have far exceeded my expectations and we have only just begun. Highest recommendations for Jon and the AM Creative Marketing team.
Jon has been amazing in helping us scale our business. Always available for a phone call when advice is needed as well. As a whole, AM Creative is instrumental in the process of us growing our business and our company standards.

Common questions about construction marketing
Straight answers to what contractors ask before they start.
Construction marketing services cover everything that gets a builder found, trusted and called: the website, local SEO and the Google Business Profile, AI search visibility, reviews, paid ads, social media and the follow-up system that answers new leads. At AM Creative Marketing they run as one program, so the website, the rankings and AM Connect all report into the same place.
Start where buyers look. That means a website that loads fast and shows your work, a Google Business Profile built for your service area, and reviews that name the jobs you want more of. From there you layer in content and ads so you show up whether someone searches your town, your service, or your name. The piece most contractors miss is follow-up, so we connect it all to AM Connect so no lead slips through. The full playbook is on our construction SEO page.
Our core program, Web Presence & AI Search Growth, starts at $1,597 per month with a one-time setup of $500 to $1,500. It covers the website, local SEO, AI search visibility and lead follow-up through AM Connect. Ad management and social media are optional add-ons scoped on the strategy call, and ad spend is paid separately to the platforms, typically $500 to $3,000 per month. Everything is month to month. See the breakdown on our pricing page.
Paid ads can bring calls within days. Local SEO and content usually show real traction in three to six months, sometimes faster if your site and Google Business Profile are already in decent shape. We set clear expectations up front and show you the numbers as they move. Here is how construction SEO builds over time.
Often, yes. Local Services Ads put you at the very top of the page with a Google Guaranteed badge, and you pay per lead instead of per click. They work best once your reviews and profile are solid, since Google ranks them partly on reputation. We usually pair them with search ads and organic SEO so you are not leaning on any single channel.
A lot. For local trades it is often the single biggest driver of calls, ahead of the website. A complete profile with the right categories, defined service areas, photos of real jobs, and steady keyword-rich reviews is what gets you into the map pack. We optimize and manage it as part of every local SEO plan.
It is the work of turning more website and Google profile visitors into calls and quote requests without buying more traffic. For a contractor that usually means tap-to-call on mobile, a shorter quote form, projects sorted by type and town, a straight answer on price and follow-up on every lead. See how we build it into website design for contractors.
Yes. A custom home builder in Plaistow, New Hampshire won a $300,000+ ADU project from a homeowner who found them through AI search, and a West Newbury general contractor now logs AI assistants as one of its top inquiry sources. AI tools lean on many of the same signals as Google, so the work overlaps heavily with local SEO. Our AI search optimization page covers how it works.
No. We work month to month. You stay because the phone is ringing, not because you are locked in. Everything we build, your website, rankings, and reputation, stays yours.
Yes. AM Creative Marketing is based in Amesbury, Massachusetts, works with design-build firms and general contractors across New England, and takes on construction companies anywhere in the US. Local SEO is built around your own towns and service area, so it works the same in Hartford, Portland or Denver. If you are outside our area, we help you vet a local photographer or videographer and give them a shot list, so your website and social content still show your real projects.
Yes. Keyword-rich Google reviews are one of the strongest local ranking factors for contractors, and they are often the first thing a homeowner reads before calling. We help you earn more of them and put them to work. See our approach to reputation management for builders.
Who is behind AM Creative's construction marketing?
Jon Almas
Founder, AM Creative Marketing · Amesbury, MassachusettsJon started AM Creative in 2016 as a video marketing agency, after a career in corporate data analysis. Watching clients struggle to turn good footage into booked work led to the first version of our marketing framework in 2018, and to the system we run now: website, local SEO, content, paid ads and CRM follow-up built as one program instead of five separate ones.
He moved the agency onto AI automation early, in 2022, and launched Blueprint 2.0 in 2024. That framework sits behind every contractor program we run today, for builders across New England and beyond.
Jon works on every construction account himself, from the first strategy call through the numbers review. The Google reviews further up this page name him, not an account manager. The figures in the proof section come from live client accounts he reviews personally.
More about the team is on our about page, recent coverage is on our press page, and Jon is on LinkedIn.
